Jeep Recall 44,000 Wrangler 4xr Hybrid Plug-in Units Around The World Due To This Problem
JAKARTA - Jeep under Stellantis Group recalled 44,000 Wrangler 4xr plug-in SUVs, worldwide as high-voltage batteries could catch fire.
Quoted from the InsideEV page, Sunday, November 26, the company has issued an official statement in which it previously conducted a routine review of customer data, leading to an internal investigation.
During the investigation, eight cars caught fire, which occurred when they were parked, when they were turned off and six others when connected to charging.
This recall affects certain Jeep Wrangler 4xe models for 2021-2024, more details of 32,125 units in the United States, an estimated 3,856 units in Canada, and 9,249 units outside North America.
With this problem, Stellantis advised Jeep 4xr hybrid plug-in users, to refrain from charging, and put it away from buildings until this problem is resolved.
