Using Fake Money Of IDR 400 Thousand, Men In Bandung Are Desperate To Book Prostitutes

JAKARTA - The Bandung Police Regol Police arrested a man with the initials RT (24) who used counterfeit money to pay for prostitution services.

RT carried out his nasty action at a brothel in Bandung, West Java (West Java).

Kapolsek Regol Kompol Aulia Djabar said, to get services from commercial sex workers (PSK), RT uses an online dating application.

"The perpetrator used the money for prostitution, and paid Rp.400 thousand, after which it was reported that the money was counterfeit," said Aulia at the Regol Police, Bandung City as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, February 16.

After the information on the circulation of counterfeit money became available, the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Regol Police then conducted an investigation.

Then the perpetrator with the initials RT alias Tuten was arrested by the police. From the hands of the perpetrators, the police confiscated dozens of counterfeit bills of Rp50,000 to Rp100,000 totaling more than Rp4 million.

According to Aulia, the perpetrator used the money with an experimental motive because he hoped the victims would not know that the money was fake.

"We are still investigating and investigating where the counterfeit money came from," he said.

As a result of his actions, Tuten was charged by the police with Article 36 of Law Number 7 of 2011 concerning currency or Article 245 of the Criminal Code with the threat of a sentence of 10 years in prison.
