AMPJJ Reports Committee For Events That Emerge Allegations Of Deployment Of Village Apparatus Support Gibran

JAKARTA - The Alliance of People Caring for the Jurdil Election (AMPJJ) reported the United Village Gathering committee to the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) RI.

"Based on our findings and study, that the meeting was part of an effort to mobilize to direct support for certain presidential and vice presidential candidate pairs," said AMPJJ Sierra Prayuna Coordinator at the Indonesian Bawaslu Office, Jakarta, Thursday, November 23, as reported by Antara.

The event, which was attended by thousands of village heads, village deliberative bodies (BPD), and village officials, according to him, violated Article 74 of General Election Commission Regulation (KPU) Number 15 which regulates state civil servants, functional officials, and structural officials are prohibited from providing support to certain pairs of candidates.

In his report, Prayuna explained that his party used Article 282 paragraph (1) and Article 283 of Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning KPU, as well as KPU Regulation Number 15 Article 74

"We quoted the evidence from several media, and also audiovisual evidence that we have entered into one flash drive. In addition, as well as witnesses, we will continue to add witnesses who are currently quite widely available. However, we are trying to limit only three witnesses," he said.

He hopes that Bawaslu can take action against all forms of violations and election fraud.

To the vice presidential candidate (cawapres) number two Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Sierra hopes to be accountable for the presence at the gathering.

"What's the reason? 'He's not yet the Vice President, but he's still a candidate in the middle of the activity. If he becomes the President or Vice President who has been ratified by the MPR, that's okay. However, he is still a candidate," he said.

Previously, Gibran Rakabuming Raka as the vice presidential candidate accompanying presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto attended the United Village Gathering activity at Gelora Bung Karno, Senayan, Jakarta, Sunday, November 19.

The meeting was allegedly a form of declaration to the Candidates for President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

When confirmed in Solo, Central Java, Tuesday, November 21, Gibran stated that he was ready to accept if he was given a warning by Bawaslu.

Meanwhile, Bawaslu Chairman Rahmat Bagja will summon the event committee.
