Eliadi Hulu, the reporter's attorney, views the former Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court as not worthy of accusing him of having a scenario to kill his character."The reporter felt it was not good to witness the words and sentences conveyed by the reported judge which seemed to be accusing him of politicization, scenario and heinous slander addressed to him," said Eliadi in his statement, Wednesday, November 22.In fact, Eliadi said that Anwar Usman clearly violated the code of ethics and behavior of constitutional judges in the Constitutional Court's decision process which opened the door for Gibran Rakabuming Raka to run as a vice presidential candidate.Eliadi added that Anwar Usman must be able to prove who is meant as the party that has slandered, memolitized, and made a scenario for the formation of the MKMK."If he can't prove it then it's the same as spreading hoaxes and not respecting the Constitutional Court's decision," said Eliadi."Based on this, we report anwar usman for the violation of the Constitutional Justice's code of ethics and request that he be dishonorably dismissed as a Constitutional Justice," he continued. It is known that the MKMK chaired by Jimly Asshiddiqie with Wahidduddin Adams and Bintan members R. Saragih still has an ad hoc working period until November 24, 2023.After their report was registered as of November 21, 2023, the reporter Anwar Usman hoped that the MKMK could immediately hear the ethical case, considering that the report submitted was still within the working period of the Constitutional Court's Honorary Court. For information, Anwar Usman claimed that there was a scenario of damaging his reputation in order to be declared to have violated severe ethics in the decision on the age limit of the presidential and vice-presidential candidates by the MKMK.Anwar was fired from his position as Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court in the Constitutional Court's decision yesterday. Anwar admitted that he had known this scenario was designed before the MKMK was formed."I know and have received news that efforts to carry out politicization and make me the object of various Constitutional Court decisions and the final Constitutional Court decision, as well as the plan to form the Constitutional Court, I have heard long before the MKMK was formed," Anwar said at a press conference at the Constitutional Court Building, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, November 8."However, even though I have heard that there are scenarios that are trying to kill my character, I am still kind to think about, HUsnuzon, because that should be the way a Muslim's character and character thinks," he added.Anwar felt that he was slandered because he was said to have a conflict of interest in the Constitutional Court's decision which allowed regional heads not to run as presidential and vice-presidential candidates because he was the uncle of Gibran Rakabuming Raka who is now Prabowo Subianto's vice presidential candidate.
"The slander addressed to me is related to the handling of case Number 90/PUU-XXI/2023, which is a very heinous slander, and is not based on the law at all," said Anwar.
