CR-V Hybrid Laris In Indonesia, Honda: Consumer Awareness Of The Importance Of Environmentally Friendly Cars Starting To Rise
JAKARTA - The Indonesian public has welcomed All New Honda CR-V positively since its launch last August at the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) by presenting two variants, namely 1.5 L Turbo and RS e: HEV.
The hybrid variant or All New Honda CR-V RS e: HEV is the highest and most expensive type in the model. The car is priced at up to Rp804.5 million on Jakarta OTR. Even though it has an expensive price, this type produces higher sales compared to the pure ICE version or 1.5 L Turbo.
Yusak Billy, as Sales & Marketing and Aftersales of PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM), said that the high demand for hybrid variants is because consumers are very familiar with the latest technological developments and want to play a role in greening the environment. This shows that Indonesian consumers are starting to realize the importance of environmentally friendly cars.
"Based on the current technological developments, electrification technology is increasingly in demand by the people here," said Billy when contacted by VOI, Tuesday, November 21.
Nevertheless, he added that there is a possibility that non-hybrid types will approach the hybrid in the Indonesian market. What's more, the ICE variant offers a seven-seater configuration that doesn't exist in the hybrid type.
"We continue to monitor its development and provide a product that is indeed in demand by consumers," added Billy.
