Charles Hoskinson Invites Former OpenAI CEO To Join Cardano Project
JAKARTA - Cardano crypto founder Charles Hoskinson invited Sam Altman, former CEO of OpenAI, to join the Cardano project. The project is a large decentralized language model or Large Language Model (LLM), which is an AI technology that can generate text from data.
Hoskinson, who is also one of the founders of Ethereum, sent the invitation via social media account X which was uploaded on November 18, 2023. The ADA crypto founder said that Altman now has free time after being fired from OpenAI.
Therefore, Altman can contribute to decentralized LLM which will be part of Cardano's partnerchain, namely the blockchain connected to Cardano through Polkadot's features.
Hoskinson's invitation comes after a leadership change at OpenAI, reported by Reuters. Sam Altman, who has served as CEO of OpenAI since 2019, was sacked by OpenAI's board of directors, citing a lack of consistent communication that hampers their responsibilities. Mira Murati, OpenAI's Chief Technology Officer, was appointed interim CEO, while looking for a replacement for Altaman.

Altman's dismissal shocked many, including Greg Brockman, president and co-founder of OpenAI, who stepped down from the company as part of the protests. Altman and Brockman learned of the decision just moments before it was publicly announced. OpenAI's board of directors, which now consists of only four, has not provided further explanation of the reasons for the dismissal of Altman.
OpenAI, which is funded by Microsoft in large quantities, is one of the leading companies in the AI-generative field, namely AI, which can create new content from data processing.
OpenAI released ChatGPT in November 2022, a software app that can generate conversational text from data. This application is one of the fastest growing software apps in the world.
