Having Fun Chatting, 12-Year-Old Boy Hit By KRL Passing Serpong Station Dies
TANGERANG - A 12-year-old boy died after being hit by an Electric Rail Train (KRL) at Serpong Station, Tangerang City.
The victim had a fight with his colleague at Serpong Station so he did not know of the arrival of the KRL crossing which finally hit his body.
"Yes, it's true that a small child died. The point is. The victim joked with his friend. Then the train passed by, so it hit," said Serpong Deputy Chief of Police AKP James Herizanto when confirmed, Sunday, November 19.
James said the incident occurred on Friday, November 17, at 17.25 WIB. The victim was hit by the KRL until he entered the sidelines of the platform.

Separately, the Public Relations Manager of PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia (KCI), Leza Arlan said, the incident started when the victim was chatting with his colleague. He stands at a point close to the KRL crossing route.
According to Leza, his party had reprimanded the victim until the incident occurred.
"As a result, this Commuter Line user did not heed the passing train, resulting in him hitting the ongoing train," he said.
The victim who was hit by KRL received emergency assistance at the Serpong Station Health Post. However, the victim could not be helped.
"After the station carried out all rescue procedures at the Health Post, the user could not be saved," he said.
