Bank Indonesia Records Foreign Capital Flow Entering IDR 7.33 Trillion In The Third Week Of November 2023
JAKARTA - Bank Indonesia (BI) recorded foreign capital entry into the domestic financial market for the period 13 November 2023 to 16 November 2023, in the domestic financial market, a net purchase of IDR 7.33 trillion was recorded.
Executive Director, Head of the BI Communication Department Erwin Haryono said that foreign capital flows that entered in the third week of November 2023 came from the state securities market (SBN), stock market and BI Rupiah Securities (SRBI).
"Based on transaction data from November 13' 16 2023, non-residents in the domestic financial market recorded a net purchase of IDR 7.33 trillion, bought a net of IDR 2.49 trillion in the SBN market, bought a net of IDR 870 billion in the stock market, and bought a net of IDR 3.97 trillion in SRBI," Erwin said in his official statement Sunday, November 19.
Erwin conveyed that with the entry of foreign funds into the domestic financial market, the premium risk of investment in Indonesia was reflected in the premium credit default swap (CDS) Indonesia 5 years as of November 16, 2023 which amounted to 76.26 basis points (bps) or decreased compared to November 10, 2023, amounting to 83.33 bps.
With these developments, based on tetelmen data from the beginning of 2023 to November 16, 2023, foreign capital flows were recorded to enter the SBN and SRBI markets with details of non-residents buying net amounting to IDR 56.21 trillion in the SBN market, and buying neto amounting to IDR 21.02 trillion in SRBI.
However, overall foreign funds that came out of the stock market throughout the year amounted to Rp18.09 trillion.
