Internet Network Total Off During PPPK Selection In Kapuas Hulu, West Kalimantan
JAKARTA - Selection of government employees with a work agreement (PPPK) in Kapuas Hulu Regency, West Kalimantan (West Kalimantan) was stopped due to internet network disruptions.
In fact, a few hours since 14.30 WIB Saturday, November 18, the internet network in the area has completely shut down.
"We were forced to reschedule for PPPK selection participants affected by yesterday's internet network, there were around 75 selection participants continued at 17.00 WIB Sunday (19 November)," said Head of Procurement, Dismissal, Data and Performance Division of ASN at BKPSDM Kapuas Hulu Sagitarisman, in Putussibau, Kapuas Hulu, confiscated by Antara, Sunday 19 November.
Sagirisman said that changes in the selection schedule due to internet network disruptions had been coordinated with Kanreg V of the National Civil Service Agency as the National Selection Committee Team by submitting a notification letter and minutes of internet network disruption.
According to him, although it did not interfere with changes in the selection schedule as a whole, the internet disruption that occurred on Saturday, November 19 was complained of by the selection participants.
Sagitarisman admitted that previously the Kapuas Hulu Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency had written to PT Telkom regarding internet network service support.
"The disconnection of the internet network, something that Telkom does not want, we are grateful for the quick handling, so that the PPPK selection schedule can still be resumed," he said.
It is known that the selection of PPPK in Kapuas Hulu Regency was attended by 2,650 participants which was held from 13 to 25 November 2023.
He hopes that the internet network will remain stable, so that the selection of PPPK in Kapuas Hulu runs smoothly.
"Hopefully the internet network will remain stable and we ask Telkom to take quick treatment in the event of a network disruption like yesterday," he said.
Regarding internet service disruptions to the network completely shut down on Saturday 19 November, PT Telkom Putussibau has not been able to be asked for information regarding the problem of frequent disruptions to network services and future efforts.
Meanwhile, Head of the Kapuas Hulu Communication, Information and Statistics Agency Hadi Pranata hopes that internet network services in Kapuas Hulu will improve, especially now that the Satria I Kemenkominfo satellite has been supported, which is planned to operate in January 2024.
Furthermore, the expansion of signal coverage to overcome blank spots through the Pasti Bakti application program which continues to be proposed in order to improve the quality of telecommunication networks, especially the internet in the Kapuas Hulu area.
Hadi believes that the internet disturbance that occurred on Saturday, November 19, could be caused by several factors.
"Yesterday's internet misuse may be a weather factor, the power plant used by the network or maybe other technical problems," said Hadi.

He explained that the internet network in Kapuas Hulu still uses public IP or public networks that have not been integrated with government networks or IP government (virtual private network).
Hadi said, if there has been an internet disturbance so far, each regional apparatus organization will coordinate with parties related to the management of telecommunications services.
"Domainnya belum ada di Kominfotik, kami terus mendorong untuk membuat jaringan atau backbone pemerintah yang bekerja sama dengan vendor resmi, tentu perlu penkajian dan rencanaan agar sesuai dengan ketentuan yang berlaku," kata Hadi.
