After Winning And Printing History In UFC's First Appearance, Jeka Saragih: Immediately Plan To Go Home To Meet My Wife's Children

JAKARTA - Jeka Saragih has succeeded in making history as the first Indonesian athlete to win in a martial arts competition, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). History was created after Jeka Saragih quickly won by knockout over his opponent, Lucas Alexander.

Jeka Saragih had his first match at the UFC with the Brazilian fighter at UFC Apex, Las Vegas on Sunday, November 19 in the morning WIB. Down in the featherweight class, Jeka only needed 91 seconds to end the duel.

This quick victory is an unexpected payment for Jeka Saragih's struggle so far. Moreover, the fighter is known to have left the country for five months to undergo training in San Diego, United States.

Jeka proudly admits that his struggle has now paid off. Of course also with the support of the coach, Marc Fiore and the supportive manager behind him.

"It's a very long job and it's also helped by coach Marc (Fore), my manager Graham Boy and friends at the MMA Academy, thank you," Jeka Saragih said after the game.

"I'm definitely happy to be able to represent Indonesia at the UFC. We know that the UFC is the largest and prestigious MMA organization and on behalf of Indonesia, I am very happy," he continued in a short video on the official UFC website.

After going through a valuable struggle and sacrificing many things to achieve success in his UFC debut, Jeka Saragih with a happyah expressed her closest desire, namely to return to her family in her beloved village.

"This journey is very long, this year I have practiced more than my family. I have finished going home to meet my parents, my wife and children, I love you dear," said Jeka Saragih with sumringah.

As is known, Jeka is the first Indonesian athlete to receive a contract from the UFC. Jeka will undergo five fights after being declared qualified through the first Road to UFC season program.
