Vice Presidential Candidate Mahfud MD Returns To Kampung To Madura, Suramadu Bridge Filled With Supporters
SURABAYA - Vice Presidential Candidate Mahfud MD returned to his hometown to Madura, East Java. Along the road on the Suramadu Bridge is filled with supporters of Mahfud MD.
"Today I returned to my hometown on Madura Island, East Java. This is my first time making a visit to Madura after being appointed as a Vice President Candidate (Cawapres) by the KPU," Mahfud said via his Instagram account @mohmahfudmd, Saturday, November 18.
Mahfud emphasized that the arrival to Madura was not in the capacity of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs but vice-presidential candidates.
Since being designated as vice president on November 13, Mahfud's activities as election contestants have been held every weekend, Saturday and Sunday, plus leave every Friday.
"Maybe because it was the first visit after the candidacy of the Vice President, Madurese welcomed me with joy at the Suramadu and Bangkalan Bridges," he said.

From Bangkalan, Mahfud continued his journey to Pamekasan. Don't forget Mahfud MD and his family made a pilgrimage to the grave of his father, and will continue to go to the Annuqayah Islamic Boarding School and to the Al-Amin Islamic Boarding School in Sumenep.
"My last agenda in Madura today was to fulfill the invitation of Istiqhosah Kebangsaan at GOR Ahmad Yani, Sumenep," he said.
