Spotlight 2023 Help Promote Sustainability Concept In Indonesian Fashion World
JAKARTA - The exhibition and performance of local fashion held by Indonesia Fashion Chamber, Spotlight 2023 is back for the second time. This annual fashion event presented by Indonesia Fashion Chamber (IFC) consistently celebrates the diversity of Indonesian culture, wastra, and handicrafts with the spirit of novelty as an advantage for Indonesian fashion products.
Seeing the enthusiasm of last year's audience of 3.5000 people, IFC National Chairman Ali Charisma hopes that this event can be carried out regularly every year.
"We make this event, because almost every month we make a fashion event, and we make Spotlight every end of the year, and this is the second year," he explained.
In addition, having the awareness that the fashion industry contributed the second most pollution after oil, Ali Charisma said that this event aims to encourage Indonesian fashion industry players to be able to produce sustainable fashion.
"Spotlight invites everything including both fashion actors and users, stakeholders as well, to be consistent because sustainable fashion is not just tagline but we have to run it because the earth is starting to change, and because fashion is the second industry that contributes the most pollution after oil," he said.
