2 Indonesian Air Force Planes Crashed In Pasuruan While Practiced Formation, Here's The Flight List

Head of the Air Force Information Service (Kadispenau) First Marshal of the Indonesian Armed Forces R. Agung Sasongkojati explained that two EMB-314 Super Tucano tactical fighter aircraft crashed in Pasuruan, East Java, while practicing routine formation.

In the training session, the two planes were flown by a total of four middle officers of the Indonesian Air Force, namely Lt. Col. Pnb Sandhra 'Chevron' Gunawan ( Air Squadron 21 Commander), Colonel Pnb Subhan ( Air Danwing 2 Abdulrachman Saleh Air Base), Colonel Adm Widiono Hadiwijaya (Head of Air Base Personnel Abdulrachman Saleh), and Major Pnb Yuda A. Seta.

Lt. Col. Pnb Sandhra and Colonel Adm Widiono boarded the plane with registration number TT-3111, while Major Pnb Yuda and Colonel Pnb Subhan were on the plane with registration number TT-3103. Sandhra and Yudo filled the front seat of the wheel (front), while Widiono and Subhan were in the back seat.

Kadispenau is currently departing directly for Malang, East Java, to get the latest information about the condition of the plane and the crew who were victims of the crash.

The condition of all the victims is not yet known. However, the amateur video circulating shows residents finding one of the victims on behalf of Colonel Adm Widiono.

However, the Indonesian Air Force or the local search and rescue agency (SAR) has not issued an official statement regarding this matter.

Kadispenau also explained the chronology of the aircraft starting to lose contact (lost contact).

"Today, Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 11.18 WIB, the contact of the Super Tucano aircraft from Abdulrachman Saleh, Malang. Both aircraft are expected to experience accident (accident), and according to reports the two planes (fall) in the Keduwung area, Puspo District, Pasuruan Regency. Both planes are conducting routine formation exercises," said Kadispenau.
