Not Only Firli Bahuri, Police Check 3 KPK Employees Regarding The SYL Extortion Case Today
JAKARTA - Joint investigators from the Directorate of Corruption Crimes at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police and the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police are not only examining Firli Bahuri in the investigation into the alleged extortion case against the former Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo, today. Three KPK employees were also questioned.
"There are 3 other witnesses who were also questioned today. 3 KPK RI employees," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation at the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak, to reporters, Thursday, November 16.
The examination process for three KPK employees and Firli Bahuri is said to have taken place at the Directorate of Corruption Crimes at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency.
Meanwhile, Firli Bahuri kept his promise to fulfill the summons for examination at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police. The KPK chairman is said to have come around 09.00 WIB.
Firli Bahuri was originally scheduled to undergo an examination on November 7. However, absent on the grounds of official activities.
So, the KPK chairman asked investigators to reschedule. Polda Metro Jaya then scheduled it on November 14. However, Firli was no longer present.

His absence at the examination on the grounds that he had to provide information at the KPK Supervisory Board (Dewas) on the same day. However, Firli had emphasized that he would fulfill the summons of the Polda Metro Jaya on another day.
"I will come in the near future but not today," said Firli.
In the alleged extortion case carried out by the KPK leadership against SYL, investigators believe that there was a violation of Article 12 letter e, Article 12 letter B and or Article 11 of the Corruption Crime Law Junto Article 65 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
