Police Arrest 2 Illegal Pharmacy Drug Dealers Misused To Get Drunk In Mukomuko
BENGKULU - The police have named two suspects in the theft of pharmaceutical preparations without a permit or illegal in Mukomuko Regency, Bengkulu Province.
"Two suspects in this case, namely S (a resident of Pauh Terenja Village) and A (a resident of Ranah Karya Village) are suspected of being a dealer and taking hard drugs of the Samcodin type," said Deputy Chief of the Mukomuko Resort Police (Wakapolres) Kompol Ahmad Musrin Muzni in Mukomuko, Wednesday. The Deputy Chief of Police said that this case was revealed thanks to information from the public in Lubuk Pinang Village, there were frequent sales and distribution of drugs that were not in accordance with their designation.
The police then went to the field on November 8, 2023, then arrested S suspected of consuming excessive Samcodin at A's house in Ranah Karya Village.
After the development was carried out, he said, the police again arrested A, who was suspected of being the perpetrator of this drug dealer in Ranah Karya Village.
On the same day, he said, the Tipidter unit carried out developments to arrest three people suspected of being dealers and consuming Samcodin excessively, namely S, R, and A in Lubuk Pinang Village.
From S, 60 items of Samcodin brand medicine were found, Rp230 thousand in cash, then from S, 660 items of Samcodin were found which were stored in the rice fields hut in Arah Tiga Village, Lubuk Pinang District.

Furthermore, he said, the five dealers were taken to the Resort Police for further questioning and named two suspects in this case, namely S, a resident of Pauh Terenja Village and A, a resident of Ranah Karya Village, while the other three people were only witnesses because they were not proven to have traded the drug.
Evidence in this case, namely 72 bonds or strips of Samcodin brand drugs and Rp230 thousand in cash.
He said that the criminal threat to this suspect was one of Article 435 of each person who produced and circulated pharmaceutical preparations and medical devices that did not meet the standards and requirements for safety of benefit and quality as referred to in Article 138 paragraphs 2 and 3 of the crime with a maximum imprisonment of 12 years and a fine of IDR 5 billion.
