Pepeka And Permai Toll Treatment Is Speeded Up To Village In Early December 2023
JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) or HK is again carrying out routine maintenance at a number of points on the Terbanggi Besar-Pematang Panggang-Kayu Agung (Terpeka) and the Pekanbaru-Dumai (Permai) Toll Road. According to the plan, this maintenance activity is targeted for completion in early December 2023.
Operations Director III Hutama Karya Koentjoro said his party would try to accelerate the completion of routine maintenance of the toll road to facilitate the upcoming Christmas and New Year's (Nataru) flow.
"We carry out routine maintenance, namely work on repairing rigid concrete to coating (SFO)," Koentjoro was quoted as saying on Hutama Karya's official website, Monday, November 13.
Koentjoro said that the work on the Terpeka Toll Road alone has reached 53 percent with the target of completion in early December 2023. Meanwhile, on the Permai Toll Road, the progress has reached 83 percent with the target being completed in November.
"We hope that at the time of the Nataru homecoming, toll road users can pass comfortably and safely," he said.
He explained that the maintenance method by re-emphasizing (SFO) was chosen because of its advantages that can increase the structural resilience of toll roads, as well as reduce the risk of damage due to heavy loads and extreme weather.
"So, toll roads that are updated using this method can increase resistance to cracks and deformation," said Koentjoro.
Meanwhile, said Koentjoro, the rigid concrete method was chosen because of its superiority which is resistant to changes in temperature and season, providing a smoother and more stable road surface. Thus, the toll road life is longer and can reduce maintenance costs and long-term improvements.
"Our efforts are to improve services and maintain Minimum Service Standards (SPM) on the Trans Sumatra Toll Road," he said.
The maintenance location points on the Terpekaka Toll Road are located at KM 165+255 s/d KM 182+575, rest area KM 172 & KM 163, Interchange Gunung Batin, KM 184+150 s / d KM 238+620, and KM 250 + 070 s /d KM 329+950.
Then, the maintenance points at the Permai Toll Road are at KM 01+950 s/d 06+850, KM 25+100 s/d KM 27+600, KM 61+600 s/d KM 27+600, KM 61+600 s/d KM 63+600, KM 68+700 s/d KM 76+800, KM 80+00 s/d KM 83+650, and KM 88+200 s/d 102+600.
During the maintenance period, continued Koentjoro, his party appealed to toll road users to be able to pay attention to the warning signs installed 1.1 km before the maintenance point, and be careful when passing.

Furthermore, Hutama Karya appealed to all road users to drive in accordance with the rules and regulations that apply on toll roads, such as driving at a minimum speed of 80 km/hour and a maximum of 100 km/hour, and not using the shoulder of the road except in an emergency.
Road users are also asked to immediately rest at the nearest resting place if they feel sleepy, and there are complaints or see crimes on toll roads, so that they immediately report to the Call Center of each toll road.
"We apologize for the inconvenience that arose during the toll road maintenance period and for road users to be careful, and always prioritize safety," he concluded.
