The Export Value Of Lampung Fisheries To The US Reaches IDR 1.13 Trillion
BANDAR LAMPUNG - Lampung Fish Quarantine Agency, Quality Control and Safety of Fishery Products (BKIPM) said the export value of commodities and fishery products from Lampung Province to the United States (US) reached IDR 1.13 trillion in 2023.
"In Lampung Province, there is a lot of potential fishery and fishery products that can be developed optimally," said Head of BKIPM Lampung Azhari Syarif, quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, November 11.
He said, from January to early November, the value of Lampung's fishery exports with the purpose of US exports reached IDR 1.13 trillion.
"The United States is the main export destination country of Lampung, since January until now the export of fisheries from Lampung is worth IDR 1.13 trillion with an export frequency of 603 shipments," he said.
Meanwhile, the total volume of exports of fishery products and commodities in the January-November 2023 period was 7,329 tons.
"The types of fishery products that are usually exported are derivative products from crabs, shrimp, and some of the fish that will be processed back into processed foods," he said.
He continued, for exports of commodities and fishery products with Japanese destination countries, it has an export volume of 2,360 tons.
Export frequency 269 times and export value of IDR 344 billion.
"This village has a fairly specific export destination country. Usually only China is the destination country for fishery exports, but here the United States is the main export destination country while Japan is the second destination country," he said.

According to him, a few days ago, exports of fishery products and commodities from Lampung were re-exported with eight US and Japanese export destinations.
"Some time ago there were eight containers containing fishery products and commodities with a value of Rp. 15.2 billion, and 88 tons of volume had been exported to the two main export destinations of Lampung. And when viewed since last year, exports were carried out in balance with previous years," he concluded.
