Andriy Lunin's Wife Leaks Her Husband's Readiness To Move From Real Madrid

JAKARTA - Anastasia Tamasova, wife of Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin, claims that they are ready to leave the club for regular playing minutes. Lunin joined Madrid in the summer of 2018 and, after being loaned several times, has finally become the team's reserve goalkeeper since 2020.

Thibaut Courtois' serious injury during the summer seemed to open up opportunities for Lunin to enjoy a few minutes of regular play, but Madrid instead chose to borrow Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea and set Lunin on the bench.

Kepa is now injured which is expected to see him sidelined in the next few weeks, giving Lunin the opportunity to add to his current total appearance of only 20 games with Madrid.

During the Tanya Answer session on Instagram, Lunin's wife, Anastasia, admitted that the goalkeeper would be ready to leave the club if there were offers for regular playing minutes.

"If there's a club that lets it play, I think we'll go," he wrote. "If he's going to play, of course we're ready to move."

Lunin is entering her final year of contract in Madrid and must immediately make decisions about her future.

Courtois is expected to reclaim his position as Madrid's main goalkeeper when he recovers from injury - perhaps by the end of the season but most likely next season. While the La Liga giants must also decide whether to keep Kepa after his loan period ends.

There is no option to buy Kepa permanently as part of Madrid's deal with Chelsea. But the Blues want to part ways with the Spanish international, who will also have a remaining contract just one year after the end of the season.
