Arsjad Rasjid Asks The Public To Guard The 2024 Presidential Election At TPS: Don't Be Afraid Of Pressure, We Fight Together

JAKARTA - Head of the National Winning Team (TPN) Ganjar-Mahfud MD, Arsjad Rasjid asked the public to oversee the 2024 presidential election process. From campaigns to voting at polling stations (TPS) all must be maintained.

"I call on all Indonesian people to help maintain democracy. Supervise and oversee the presidential and campaign process, monitor and oversee the voting process at the polling station," Arsjad said at a press conference at the High End building, Kebon Sirih, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, November 8.

"Don't be afraid, don't be afraid of the pressures you are facing. We will back up and fight together, we fight together," he continued.

Arsjad said that this call was based on the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) regarding the requirements for the presidential and vice presidential age limit which ultimately made Anwar Usman removed as Chairman. He said that the knock on the hammer that made Gibran Rakabuming Raka walking as Prabowo Subianto's companion in the 2024 presidential election was considered a democratic wound.

"So, the public must monitor the 2024 presidential election to the fullest. People must accept that the presidential election democracy process has begun with serious injuries, history records this," he said.

"Even so, we don't want to get in trouble. We focus on what needs to be done to win the interests of the people through a democratic process," continued Arsjad.

As previously reported, the Constitutional Court imposed sanctions in the form of dismissal of Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Anwar Usman from his position. He was declared to have violated the code of ethics and behavior in deciding the case of the presidential and vice presidential age limit.

MKMK in the decision No.2/MKMK/L/10/2023 said Anwar was proven to have violated the Code of Ethics and Conduct of Constitutional Justices as stated in the Sapta Karsa Hutama.

"Imposing sanctions for dismissal from the position of Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court to the Reported Judge," said Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Jimly Asshiddiqie while reading the verdict at the Constitutional Court Building, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, November 7.

One of the conclusions of the MKMK called Anwar Usman was proven to have deliberately opened up the space for outside intervention in the process of taking the 90/PUU-XXI/2023 decision, thus violating the Sapta Karsa Hutama, the Independence Principle, the Implementation of the Numbers 1, 2, and 3.

In addition, he was proven to have violated the principles of impartiality, the principle of integrity, the principle of competence and equality, and the principle of independence.
