China's Ford Bronco Launches In 2024, The Engine Is Different From The US Version
JAKARTA - Ford Bronco, which is produced in a partnership between Jiangling Motor and Ford, is seen undergoing road tests in China, and has obtained a sales permit in China scheduled for launch in March or May 2024.
Reporting from the Carnewschina page, Wednesday, November 8, China's Ford Bronco will use a 2.3 liter engine from Changan-Ford which is capable of generating 275 hp of power with a 455 Nm torque.
It should be noted that the difference between this machine and the United States version, where the US Ford Bronco entry-level has a 2.7 liter V6 engine that produces 315 hp.
The decision is known to be a strategy to maintain vehicle prices, with the initial trim expected to start at $41,300, or around Rp640 million, according to previous information.
On the dimensional side, this Chinese-made model has a length of 4800 mm, a width of 2070 mm, and a height of 1990 mm, with a wheelbase of 2950 mm. While in the US market, Bronco has a dimension slightly longer, narrower, and lower.
Previously, the Ford Bronco exterior to the Chinese market had been exposed by regulators. Overall, there is no significant difference with the US version, but in the front grip, Ford's writing was deliberately removed, while the name 'Bronco' remained on display.

On the back, there is a Chinese-language (Jiangling-Ford) badge, signaling that this is a local production version. In addition, the Ford Bronco made in China uses the same R17 AT tires from Goodyear.
