Suzuki GSX-S1000GX 2024 Officially Launches At EICMA 2023

JAKARTA - Suzuki officially introduced one of the newest motors in the sport-style crossover, namely GSX-S1000GX in a two-wheeled automotive event, EICMA 2023, in Milan, Italy. This motorbike offers reliable driving performance with several advanced features embedded in it.

From the company's official website, on Tuesday, November 7, it was revealed that this motorbike comes with an aggressive design reinforced with a sharp touch around the bodywork, and is equipped with modern LED lighting on the front and back.

In addition, hand protection and baggage racks have been installed as additional equipment to support the need for long-distance driving.

The model adopts the Suzuki Advanced Electronic Suspension (SAES) system with a 150mm front suspension and reliable rear suspension in conquering rocky or uneven surface roads. SAES is equipped with four modes: Hard, Medium, Soft, and personalization settings according to driver preferences.

Suzuki strengthened its innovative system by equipping this bike with six-axis IMU Bosch and reliable electronic suspension from Showa.

The regulation of the rear suspension spring preload is also controlled electronically, making it easier for motorists to quickly select automatic modes or one of the four modes available, according to their preferences.

Japanese manufacturers also introduced the Suzuki Road Adaptive Stabilization (SRAS), which functions to detect uneven road surfaces based on input from the system. This is supported by the Suzuki Floating Ride Control (SFRC), which improves travel convenience and regulates electronic Throttle valve settings for a more controlled gas response.

GSX-S1000GX is also equipped with an alpha version of the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector, which provides three driving modes: Active, Basic, and Comfort. These three modes control the characteristics of the output of the force, as well as the level of control of the traction, which integrated GX with Lift Limiter (anti-wheelie) and Roll Torque Control, as well as electronic suspension settings.

Turning to the driver's position, the bike is equipped with a 6.5-inch TFT screen that supports phone connectivity, allows drivers to access maps, view contacts, and receive phone calls via Suzuki mySPIN.

This motorbike is supported by a 999 cc lined 4-cylinder engine capable of generating 152 hp at 11,000 rpm and a 106 Nm torque at 9,250 rpm.

Available in a variety of color variants, such as Metallic Triton Blue, Glassaire Black, and most recently Pearl Matt Shadow Green, GSX-S1000GX is sold for 14,499 pounds, equivalent to IDR 278.7 million.
