There Are 7 Cases Of Monkeypox In South Jakarta, All Isolated In Hospitals

Head of the South Jakarta Health Sub-dept. Yudi Dimyati revealed that his party found seven cases of monkeypox (monkey pox/pox) in the area and currently patients undergoing treatment as well as isolation in hospitals.

"All patients have been treated for isolation at hospitals in South Jakarta and RSPI Sulianti Saroso," said Yudi, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 31.

Yudi invites the public to raise awareness of a healthy lifestyle to protect themselves from the disease.

According to him, there are four preventive steps that can be taken to prevent the spread of "monkey pox".

First, awareness of symptoms such as fever, loosening water content, acne, redness, and coreng. In addition, it is important to avoid sexual activity during these conditions.

Yudi reminded the importance of maintaining cleanliness and health during sexual intercourse.

Second, it is important to avoid direct physical contact with skin wounds. Third, try to maintain cleanliness by diligently washing your hands using running water and soap and wearing a mask.

Lastly, the importance of vaccination, especially for groups that are vulnerable and at high risk.

Yudi also emphasized the importance of early detection and quick handling as a crucial step to prevent more serious impacts.
