Nissan Z With A Reli Style Will Be Present At The SEMA Show 2023
JAKARTA - Nissan added to the list of participants who will appear at the 2023 Speciality Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas, which will take place from 31 October to 3 November 2023. At this prestigious event, automotive manufacturers will compete to show off their latest modifications.
The Japanese manufacturer will introduce model Z which has undergone modifications resembling a rally car. The modification project was inspired by the legendary success of the 240Z model in the East African Safari Reli in 1971, driven by riders Edgar Herrmann and Hans Schuller as co-drivers.
According to a Carscoops report, Monday, October 30, the car was developed by Tommy Pike, a leading customist from the United States. This modification brought significant changes from the standard version, with increased ground clearance and installation of the KW Safari suspension equipped with components from NISMO.
The Z model is also equipped with a prototype rim of the NISMO Safari measuring 17 x 7.5 inches paired with the Yokohama Geolandar M/T G003 tires. To protect the bottom of the car from damage, this coup is equipped with additional shields, including a front bumper shield and plate skid.
In terms of appearance, this car adopts a design similar to the Datsun 240Z 11 rally car, with a red color contrasting to the black hood. The interior of this car is also equipped with safety and comfort devices, such as the Recaro Pole Position seat with four-point seat belts, resembling rally cars in general.
For a tough performance, Nissan has prepared a twin-turbo V6 engine that has been optimized by AMS, capable of generating more than 400 dk of power. This machine is equipped with a cat-back disposal system, cold air intake, carbon fiber engine cover, cooling expansion tank, twin street engine, and disk coupling.

This modified Nissan Z will be displayed side by side with a replica of the Safary Rally-winning rally car in 1971, as part of this year's SEMA exhibition. The presence of this car is a historical tribute to Nissan after winning twice in a row, following in the footsteps of the 1600SSS Datsum Bluebird in the previous year.
