Indonesian Paragliding Team Wins Gold In Bulgaria, Kemenpora Gives Appreciation

The proud results were achieved by the Indonesian paragliding team at the 12th FAI World Paragliding Accuracy Championship on October 28, 2023 in Sopot, Bulgaria. The Indonesian team team managed to present a medal at the event which was held from October 17 to October 28, 2023.

The Indonesian team squad consists of Rika Wijayanti, Purnomo Alamsyah, Aris Apriansyah, and Rizky Maulana to perform optimally. Apart from the team, Indonesian men's individual athletes also won one bronze medal, namely Aris Apriyansyah.

In the 12th FAI World Paragliding Accuracy Championship championship, 4 competitions were competed, including Team Accuracy, Men's Individuals, Women's Individuals, and Junior (U-26) which was attended by 130 athletes from 31 countries.

For this achievement, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenpora RI) congratulated and appreciated this achievement.

The plan is that the Ministry of Youth and Sports through representatives from the Assistant Deputy Sportsman of the Mainstay of the Ministry of Youth and Sports will immediately pick up the arrival of the paragliding athletes. It is planned that the Indonesian paragliding team will arrive at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Cengkareng, on Monday (30/10) afternoon.
