Tobacco Workers And Farmers In Lumajang Receive BLT DBHCHT
LUMAJANG - Cigarette factory workers and tobacco farmer workers in Lumajang Regency, East Java received direct cash assistance (BLT) from the Tobacco Product Excise Sharing Fund (DBHCHT) in 2023 in stages.
"BLT DBHCHT is distributed to tobacco farmer workers, cigarette factory workers and workers in cigarette factories who do not directly handle the production process," said Acting Regent of Lumajang Indah Wahyuni in a written statement received in Lumajang, quoted by ANTARA Saturday.
The BLT DBHCHT is one of the social environment development programs in the context of economic recovery in the regions which aims to provide a sense of justice and increase the purchasing power of the recipients, reduce the impact of inflation and increase fuel, as well as an effort to eradicate extreme poverty.
"We distribute BLT DBHCHT as a form of concern for the social environment, especially in increasing people's purchasing power, especially cigarette factory workers and tobacco farmers," he said.

According to him, the distribution of BLT DBHCHT has been stipulated in the Regent's Regulation and Regent's Decree which technically regulates the distribution of BLT DBHCHT, which aims to support the welfare of the community in the context of economic recovery of the community, especially the field of tobacco farming through DBHCHT.
"We hope that the assistance distributed can provide benefits, especially in overcoming agricultural problems. Hopefully, the distribution of aid will run smoothly and can be used as well as possible, so that it can improve the welfare of the community," he said.
The Acting Regent of Lumajang, who is usually called Yuyun, said that the distribution of BLT DBHCHT was carried out in stages in 16 locations spread across 20 sub-districts from October 24 to November 15, 2023.
The distribution of BLT DBHCHT began in the Tempeh District on October 26, 2023 which was handed over to 500 beneficiaries from Sumberjati, Lempeni, Pandanarum, Jatisari, Pandadanwangi, Tempeh Kidul, Tempeh Lor and Central Tempeh villages.
