Encourage Economic Strengthening In Islamic Boarding Schools, Bank DKI Builds Collaboration With DKI Jakarta Hebitren

JAKARTA - As an effort to realize economic empowerment in Islamic boarding schools, Bank DKI through the Sharia Business Unit together with the Islamic Boarding School Business Economic Association (HEBITREN) signed a Joint Memorandum of Understanding which was held in Jakarta Monday, October 23.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by the Director of Retail & Sharia Bank DKI, Mr. Henky Oktavianus with the chairman of the DKI Jakarta Province Islamic Boarding School Economic Association (HEBITREN), Mr. KH. Muhammad Asy ari Akbar, M.Si and witnessed by the Chairman of the Sharia Supervisory Board of Bank DKI Mr. Muhammad Maksum.

This event is also part of the commemoration of Santri Day which falls on October 22, 2023, with the theme "Jihad Santri, Jayakan Negeri". In addition to the symbolic signing, the event was also enlivened with the appearance of Team Hadroh of the Al-Islah Islamic Boarding School, Jakarta, as well as talk shows with the theme "Optimizing KJP Assistance to UntuK Pesantren operations".

Director of Technology and Operations, concurrently Acting (Plt.) President Director of Bank DKI, Amirul Wicaksono on different occasions said that this collaboration is an effort by Bank DKI in optimizing Islamic banking services by building cooperation between institutions.

"Bank DKI welcomes the positive collaboration with the DKI Jakarta Province Hebitren, as part of economic empowerment by utilizing the activeness of Islamic boarding schools, as well as active business actors in it," said Amirul.

For information, the scope of cooperation between Bank DKI and Hebitren includes the use of Islamic banking banking products and services, where Bank DKI will provide various access to banking products ranging from third-party fund products, financing, agency, and various sharia-based digital services to ecosystems under the auspices of Hebitren.

In addition, through a partnership scheme, this collaboration also has a scope of development of Islamic financial institutions based on Islamic boarding schools cooperatives, business incubator development for students, Micro Waqf Bank (BWM) program partnerships, as well as other business collaborations that provide mutual benefits for both parties.

Hebitren itself is a forum for strengthening the independence of Islamic boarding schools aimed at encouraging the acceleration of economic strengthening of business units in Islamic boarding schools, with 110 Islamic boarding schools as members. The establishment of Hebitren also coincided with the first Indonesia Sharia Economic Festival (ISEF) in 2014 which was held in Surabaya by Bank Indonesia.

Bank DKI Corporate Secretary, Arie Rinaldi added, Bank DKI through the Sharia Business Unit continues to expand and optimize the performance of Islamic banking services, one of which is by implementing the Dual Banking Leverage Model (DBLM), as a banking service solution to customers who want a choice of sharia products and services.

"Bank DKI also provides convenience for various sharia banking services digitally, namely through Super Apps JakOne Mobile starting from the feature of opening savings accounts, and depositing iB.
