Facing The Global Crisis, Moeldoko: Gotong Royong Becomes The Main Strategy For Government Performance
JAKARTA - Presidential Chief of Staff, General TNI (Ret.) Dr. Moeldoko conveyed that mutual cooperation is the main key to the government's performance achievements which can continue to develop in the midst of various global crises.
Moreover, with the Covid-19 pandemic that had hit the whole world, Indonesia could not only survive but also rise from various crises due to the pandemic.
"Gotong royong is the most important and most important key. No matter how great the government's strategy is if without gotong royong is difficult, and not all countries have that," said Moeldoko in the Talkshow of the Merdeka Barat 9 Forum regarding the Government Performance Achievement Report 2023, in Jakarta, Tuesday 24 October.
On this occasion, the book Achievement of Government Performance in 2023 was also launched as a depiction of the journey of the Indonesian government in the last 9 years.
Moeldoko also welcomed the second four years of President Joko Widodo and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, successfully maintaining the stability of the country in various sectors. This is at the same time Indonesia's modality to achieve trust from the international community.
"Maintaining this stability is not easy, if it is disturbed, it can all be dangerous. Whether it is national stability in the security, economic, and political sectors. It is all the main capital in achieving international trust," said Moeldoko.
In addition, continued Moeldoko, the Indonesian government aggressively also continues to carry out digital transformation and bureaucratic reform. Namely, by simplifying administrative services for the Indonesian people through digital-based services.
"The results are now starting with many public service malls, it makes it easier for administrative management," he said.
Furthermore, Moeldoko views positively that the demographic bonus that occurs in Indonesia has the opportunity to achieve its goals towards Indonesia Gold 2045.

In utilizing these opportunities, Moeldoko said that President Jokowi had made two major strategies, namely preparing Indonesian human resources (HR) and downstreaming industries.
"We have human resources with productive age. This demographic bonus is the foundation. On the one hand, Indonesia has extraordinary natural resources supported to have good human resources, it can accelerate Indonesia's Gold," concluded Moeldoko.
