Observers Say Setiabudi 2023 Explosion Is A Paralon Bomb That Is Built With Low Explosive Power

JAKARTA The explosion that occurred in a courtyard of the house that was just built on Jalan Prahu, Setiabudi, South Jakarta on Wednesday, October 18, still leaves a puzzle. The police have yet to provide information on whether it is true that the explosion came from a bomb or other object. Looking further at the incident, terrorist observer Al Chaidar responded.

According to him, the explosion came from a bomb that had a low explosive power. Chaidar said that the bomb was a type of pipe bomb or paralon whose explosive range was only about 1-2 meters away.

"Yes, this is definitely a bomb. Paralon Bomb. Low explosive (low explosive power)", Chaidar said when contacted, Monday, October 23.

Although there has been no official statement from the police regarding the explosion incident in Setiabudi on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, some consider that the explosion came from an object related to the 2001 incident, in the Aceh student dormitory, the Iskandar Muda Foundation, which is located right next to the building.

Even local residents believed that the explosion came from a bomb made by the perpetrators of the 2001 explosion.

Chaidar believes that the explosion came from a bomb made or assembled. The bomb is not a mass-made manufacturer.

"It's a homemade not a factory bomb. It's a terrorist bomb. Not an intermediate bomb." he stressed.

Regarding the paralon type homemade bomb, Chaidar detailed that the bomb has special characteristics.

Paralon 5 inches, length 50 centimeters. There is a lower top Paralon cap. There is a cable. The pressure room is dense. If pressed or knocked it will explode. he said.

The police are expected to immediately provide information regarding the incident of the Setiabudi explosion, South Jakarta, which occurred on Wednesday, October 18, last week.

The Gegana team, Puslabfor and a number of members of the Polda Metro Jaya have conducted an examination at the Setiabudi explosion site, one day after the incident. As a result, the Puslabfor Team brought three brown bags obtained from the crime scene (TKP).

But unfortunately until now the police have not provided further information.
