Real Madrid striker Vinicius Junior was again the target of racism in the Spanish La Liga match against host Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium, Saturday, October 21 evening WIB. Vinicius also praised Sevilla's attitude in expelling racist supporters and would impose severe punishment.
Again, Vinicius became the target of racism. The Spanish football embarrassing incident was carried out by Sevilla supporters in the 86th minute. The action of the young man who carried out a monkey-like move was caught on camera.
In the aftermath, Sevilla immediately took firm action. Perpetrators of racism were immediately removed from the stadium. The club will also impose severe sanctions, including removing the club's membership card.
"Sevilla FC said that someone had been identified as being racist. He was immediately removed from the stadium and handed over to the competent officer. He will also be punished by the club according to protocol. His membership will also be revoked," the club said in an official statement.
"Sevilla FC condemns racist behavior and is open to collaborating with authorities to take action against racist perpetrators. This behavior has no place in Sevilla FC," the club said.
Gercep Sevilla's move to deal with racism received praise from Vinicius. The Brazilian national team striker said he watched a video of the repulsive behavior of the fans against him.
"Congratulations to Sevilla for their quick response and punishing the perpetrators for another embarrassing episode of Spanish football," Vinicius said via X or Twitter.
"Unfortunately, I have access to allow watching racist behavior in Saturday's match. This time it was done by teenagers. I'm sad why no one educates him. I make investments and this is a big investment in educating in Brazil, which teaches residents to act that is definitely different from this," he said.
