PUPR Deploys Equipment And Officers To Overcome Metan Gas The Cause Of The Fire At The Rawa Cat TPA
TANGERANG - Overcoming the content of methane gas in piles of waste, the Tangerang City Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Office, Banten Province, deployed heavy equipment and dozens of officers, to dredge up waste. The effort was made so that the methane gas in the garbage no longer caused fire and caused a fire.
"The condition is that the fire is still re-emerging because in the mountains there is still methane gas. So we dredge it so that the gas can be lost," said Head of Tangerang City DPUPR Ruta Ireng Wicaksono in Tangerang, Saturday.
Ruta menjelaskan sebanyak 15 alat berat dan ratusan petugas lengkap dengan alat-lat pengeruknya telah diterpakkan ke TPA Rawa negar sejak Sabtu pagi.
Because the burned land or mountains of garbage are quite large, the PUPR Service has also deployed hundreds of irrigation Operations and Maintenance Officers (OP) to participate in dredging or digging garbage in suburban areas.

"In this case, all DPUPR OP officers backfill waste in the outskirts of the land. The same hope is that the methane gas contained in the pile of garbage can be released," he said.
The Rawa cat TPA caught fire on Friday, October 20 at 14.00 WIB, allegedly due to hot weather factors. After extinguishing it with the help of a fleet of various regions, on Saturday, October 21, the flames had subsided but the officers were still cooling down.
However, the fire accompanied by thick smoke re-emerged at the Rawa Cat TPA at 11.00 WIB. As a result, the area around the Rawa Cat TPA was covered in smoke.
A number of residents who were at the location immediately ran to evacuate to avoid being exposed to smoke because they were worried that it could cause shortness of breath.
The Tangerang City Government also evacuated residents affected by the smoke from the Rawacat TPA fire to the sub-district office.
