Political Observer: Gibran Rakabuming Raka Strong Candidate For Vice President From Prabowo Subianto

Political observer Ray Rangkuti assesses that Prabowo Subianto's vice president candidate is none other than Gibran Rakabuming Raka, the eldest son of President Joko Widodo. Determining Gibran as Prabowo's vice presidential candidate is believed to be granted by all supporters of the coalition party.

"It is impossible for the supporters of the coalition party for Pak Prabowo to oppose this decision given the time that has been like this," said political observer Ray Rangkuti, Saturday, October 21.

The appointment of Gibran as Prabowo's vice presidential candidate will get Jokowi's blessing and support. Ray said it was impossible as Gibran's parents, Jokowi did not provide support to his eldest son.

"It's just a simple logic, is it possible that Pak Jokowi will not provide support to his eldest son," said Ray Rangkuti.

The issue of a political dynasty that had surfaced before the registration process was considered not to last long behind closed doors by opportunities for young people to contest the national arena. This allows Gibran's name to strengthen again to accompany Prabowo Subianto.

"The issue of dynastic politics is not too strong. This makes Gibran's name appear again strong to accompany Prabowo Subianto as vice president," he said.

Currently, the Golkar Party is holding a national leadership meeting (rapimnas) at the party's DPP office bearing the banyan tree in Slipi, Jakarta. In this rapid national meeting, Prabowo Subianto and the Mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka attended.
