Vice President Reminds Supporters Of Presidential Candidates To Keep The 2024 Election Peaceful: Don't Provokers Trigger Conflict
DELI SERDANG - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin emphasized the importance of supporting the presidential candidate (candidate) and vice presidential candidate (cawapres) in realizing a peaceful 2024 election.
"For those who support each party, there should be no insult to each other. They can sell their candidates but do not vilify other candidates, which have the potential for this... these supporters are important," said the Vice President after attending the Pledge of Stimulating the Diversity of the Archipelago at the North Sumatra Provincial Government Multipurpose Sports Center, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra. reported by ANTARA, Thursday, October 19.
The Vice President reminded that along with the entry of the political year, of course, many hot issues have become public talks.
Therefore, Vice President Ma'ruf asked supporters and contestants to increase the narratives of harmony, not the narrative of conflict or hostility that has the potential to break national unity.
"These contestants must make an integrity pact not to do things that are words, actions, provocations, narratives, do not use narratives that lead to potential conflict or hatred," said Ma'ruf.
In addition to supporters and contestants for presidential and vice presidential candidates, the Vice President also asked party leaders to keep the 2024 General Election running well with clean and honest political games.

Likewise, the implementers of the Election, namely KPU, Bawaslu and DKPP must act fairly, impartially and adhere to the right rules.
Ma'ruf also asked state civil servants (ASN), local governments, and law enforcers to be neutral against contestants.
