He must provide information before investigators regarding the alleged extortion by the KPK leadership against former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo.

"Firli Bahuri must attend the examination at Polda Metro Jaya," said Director of IM 57+ Institute, Praswad Nugraha in a written statement, Thursday, October 19.

Praswad stressed Firli must act as he said. After all, everyone is the same before the law.

"There is no privilege whatsoever to him in accordance with the principle of equality before the law," he said.

The series of cases of alleged extortion or acceptance of gratuities by the KPK leadership against Syahrul Yasin Limpo began when Polda Metro Jaya received a complaint on August 12, 2023. Then the collection of information materials (pulbaket) was carried out by the Tipidkor Sub-Directorate of the Ditreskrimsus Polda Metro Jaya based on a letter issued on Tuesday, August 15, 2023.

Not long after, the police issued an investigation warrant on August 21. A number of people were questioned, including Syahrul Yasin Limpo.

After the series of investigations were completed, investigators carried out a case title. As a result, a criminal element was found so that the status of the case was upgraded to the investigation stage.

At this stage a number of witnesses were summoned. In fact, KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri was also asked to come on Friday, October 20 for questioning by investigators.
