Bekasi Prosecutor's Office Confiscates Pajero Sport As Evidence Of Bribery Case For DPRD Leaders
BEKASI - The Bekasi District Attorney's Office confiscated evidence of a Pajero Sport vehicle with police number B 2717 SJC suspected of being the object of a bribery case from a contractor with the initials RS to SL, the head of the local DPRD.
Head of the Special Crimes Section at the Bekasi District Attorney's Office Ronald Thomas Mendrofa said the confiscation was based on the determination of the Cikarang District Court Number 606/PenPid.B-SITA/2023/PN Ckr against a four-wheeled vehicle of SUV-Mitsubishi Pajero Sport type.
"This confiscation is related to the investigation of the alleged corruption case of gratification against unscrupulous Bekasi Regency DPRD," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, October 19.
He said a similar confiscation attempt had been carried out by a team of investigators in August 2023, but because the situation and conditions on the ground at that time did not support it, the legal action was postponed.
"Today we managed to retrieve the evidence and secured it at the Bekasi District Attorney's Office," he said.
The confiscation attempt was carried out on vacant land in the Tridaya Sakti Village area, South Tambun District with the position of the vehicle covered in a red tarpaulin. Neither the SL nor the family concerned were there.
"The distance from the residence (SL) at Puri Cendana is approximately five kilometers. As far as we can see, this vehicle has not been used and placed on the vacant land for about a month," he said.

His party ensures that the investigation of this case is still in progress, including efforts to find other evidence, namely one unit of a BMW trademarked sedan vehicle as well as two people suspected of being the giver and recipient who are still being sought.
"We are still collecting other evidence that is sufficient but to make it more convincing when the agenda for proof is at trial," he said.
Head of the Intelligence Section of the Bekasi District Attorney's Office, Rahmadhy Seno Lumakso, said 15 witnesses had been summoned in connection with the alleged corruption case, including experts and professionals.
The Prosecutor's Office asked witnesses to cooperate in fulfilling the investigator's summons to complete the evidence for the investigation of this case, especially avoiding investigations is part of obstructing the investigation process as stipulated in the corruption and Criminal Code law.
"The public can judge if it is true that the car is not an alleged gratification item and the car was bought by SL with its own money, why was it hidden and not handed over to us. We ask for the blessing of all, hopefully we can immediately complete the investigation of the alleged corruption crime involving this DPRD person," he said.
