Jokowi: Indonesia Condemn The Israeli Attack On Al-Ahli Hospital In Gaza
Jakarta - Indonesia strongly condemned acts of violence in Gaza, which resulted in suffering and the increasing number of civilian casualties, including women and children.
"Indonesia also condemned the Israeli attack on Al-Ahli Hospital (Baptist). This is clearly a violation of international humanitarian law," President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said in a video message broadcast through the Cabinet Secretariat's YouTube account.
Jokowi asserted that Indonesia would not remain silent seeing civilian casualties continue to fall and allow injustice to the Palestinian people to continue.
For this reason, Indonesia together with the Islamic Cooperation Organization (OKI) sent a strong message to the world to stop the escalation of conflict, stop the use of violence, and focus on humanitarian issues.
Indonesia, said Jokowi, also urged the world to encourage the resolution of the root of the problem, namely the Israeli occupation of Palestine.
"Now is the time for the world to stand together to build global solidarity to solve the Palestinian problem fairly and implement the agreed international parameters," said President Jokowi.
