Apple Delays AirTag 2 Release, Cause May Be Vision Pro

JAKARTA - AirTag 2, a tracer of goods developed by Apple, looks set to be produced longer. This device will be delayed for launch until 2025.

Quoting from Techradar, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo through platform X said that AirTag 2 was supposed to be released at the end of this year, but the company postponed the launch until the end of 2024.

However, this launch was suddenly postponed again for one year. If this is true, there will be a long hiatus from the first generation and second generation AirTag, which is up to four years.

Although Kuo did not convey the reason for this delay, the analyst released information from AirTag 2 last August. He said that Apple plans to integrate AirTag 2 into spatial computing withVision Pro.

With this statement, Techradar suspects that the release of AirTag 2 has been postponed by two years due to developments on Vision Pro. However, it is not thought of how Apple will integrate AirTag 2 into spatial computing.

It is possible that AirTag 2 offers a more precise location tracking through the ultra-wideband chip on Vision Pro. However, all of this is still just speculation from various parties.

Vision Pro is scheduled for release in 2024 and AirTag 2 will launch afterwards. Apple is currently pressing the price of Vision Pro even though the price remains expensive on the market.
