COVID-19 Originated In Wuhan? This Said Scientists WHO
JAKARTA - Recently, WHO sent a team of experts to investigate the origins of COVID-19. The team will immediately end their research in Wuhan, they are tasked with uncovering the source of the Corona virus.
Until now, the source of the corona virus is still confusing. The US has previously accused China of causing the spread of this virus. Some time later, China blamed the US for the cause by pointing to the military lab, Fort Detrick.
According to the head of the WHO research team, Peter Ben Emberek said that the allegations of leaking the Wuhan virology lab were false. He said the accusations were untrue.
"The laboratory incident hypothesis is highly unlikely, there is nothing in the hypothesis that we would suggest for future research," Embarek said as quoted by Reuters, Wednesday, February 10.
America itself during the Trump administration often accused the Wuhan virology laboratory as the origin of the corona virus. Even at the end of the Trump administration, the US Foreign Ministry released a report entitled "Fact Sheet: Activity at the Wuhan Institute of Virology" which contained US accusations against China.
US has different opinion with WHOBased on this report, before the pandemic crippled the world, researchers at the Wuhan laboratory fell ill in 2019 and then shortly before Covid-19 spread in the city.
“With symptoms consistent with Covid-19 and common seasonal illnesses. This raises questions about the credibility of WIV senior researcher Shi Zhengli claiming 'zero infection' among the staff of the Wuhan Institute of Virology and SARS-COV-2 or SARS students regarding the virus, ”said the US State Department.
According to the report entitled Fact Sheet, it turns out that the development of the corona virus or Covid-19 has been taking place several years ago, to be precise starting in 2016 ago. The Wuhan Lab focuses on researching the international corona virus after the SARS outbreak that occurred in 2003.
The US has accused the Wuhan Institute of Virology of not being outspoken in providing research information on a virus similar to Covid-19. The US government also alleges cooperation with the Chinese military.
