Victims Died Of Toxics Sate Jebred In Garut Increased To 3 People

GARUT - The Health Office (Dinkes) of Garut Regency, West Java said the number of victims of poisoning who died increased to three people. The last victim died while undergoing medical treatment at the hospital.

"Ny R is 35 years old," said Head of the Garut District Health Office Leli Yuliani when confirmed regarding the poisoning patient, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, October 12.

The victim was identified as Risna, one of whom received medical treatment due to a poisoning case allegedly from satejebred or satekulit food in Cilawu District, Garut.

Apart from Risna, previously there were two people who died, namely Mimin (61) a resident of Cigalontang, Tasikmalaya Regency, and Cecep (48) a resident of Cilawu, Garut.

The poisoned victim vomited, and diarrhea was then taken to Guntur Hospital, Garut for medical treatment.

"Some vomiting and diarrhea were taken to Guntur Hospital by the family," said Leli.

Head of Disease Prevention and Control (P2P) at the Garut Health Office, Asep Surachman, added that the results of field checks on the number of food poisoning victims in Cilawu were 41 people.

Temporary suspicion, he said, was that residents who complained of illness with symptoms of food poisoning were known after consuming satay types of satay or satekulit cattle.

The impact of the poisoning, he continued, complained of diarrhea, vomiting, and fever, patients most experienced aged 26-35 years, then aged at high risk, namely two elderly people, then three children.

He appealed to people who complained of illness after eating satejebred food to immediately check themselves into the nearest health care facility so that they can be handled quickly.

"Imbauan kepada masyarakat bila yang ditemukan warga dengan gejam dugaan korban pasca konsumsi jenis pangan tertentu untuk segera akses terhadap fasilitas pelayanan kesehatan terdekat dan koordinasi dengan pemerintah setempat," katanya.

Previously, a number of residents from Cilawu District, Garut Regency and outside the area from Cigalontang District, Tasikmalaya Regency complained of nausea, dizziness and vomiting, so they had to receive medical treatment at the Cilawu Health Center, Sunday (8/10) night.

A day later, more and more poisoned residents, there were even two elderly people who died, namely Garut residents and Tasikmalaya residents, and finally one Garut resident died, Tuesday (10/10).
