Support Investment Opportunities In Indonesia, UOB Indonesia Will Hold This Conference
UOB Indonesia will hold a UOB Gateway to ASEAN Conference 2023 entitled "ASEAN Forging Ahead" at the Raffles Hotel, Jakarta, on Wednesday, October 11.
This activity was carried out to bring together business leaders, governments and trading partners, as well as experts in various fields to explore growth and investment opportunities for companies conducting inter/with ASEAN businesses.
"This is one of the milestones for further talks regarding the outlook for investment and business trade," said Spokesperson for Strategic Communications and Brand UOB Indonesia Maya Rizano at a press conference "Road to UOB Gateway to ASEAN Conference 2023 in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, Monday, October 9.
Maya said this conference is also a form of UOB's commitment to encouraging economic growth in the ASEAN region, where UOB acts as a gateway for business people to explore opportunities in the ASEAN region, including Indonesia.
"So, with this activity, it is hoped that it can provide a broad picture of the potential and opportunities in regional countries, especially in Indonesia," he said.
On the same occasion, the Wholesale Banking Director of UOB Indonesia, Harapanman Kasan, said that this activity was a good opportunity for UOB to be able to connect investors of business people with the government as well as to increase investment in Indonesia.
"There are 60-70 companies coming from outside. Some are already running their business, some want expansion, and some are new," he said.
Even so, Harapan belum bisa mengungkapkan target investasi yang akan dicapai dalam kegiatan tersebut.
Later, this activity will discuss three main issues that focus on Indonesia's strategic role in ASEAN cooperation and inter-regional trade.

The three issues are government policies in facilitating the harmonization of cross-regional businesses, digital networks that encourage smooth capital flows that allow trade growth with and within the ASEAN region, as well as industrial activity centers and infrastructure that support the global sustainability economy.
According to the plan, there are three main resource persons who will open this activity, namely Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, and Deputy Secretary General of ASEAN for the ASEAN Economic Community Satvinder Singh.
Meanwhile, UOB Indonesia targets the presence of 600 participants in this activity.
