Failed To Port Officers, 3.8 Kg Of Crystal Methamphetamine In A Cosmetic Box Was Secured At Sultan Syarif Airport Pekanbaru
RIAU - Officers thwarted the shipment of 3,868 grams of methamphetamine or 3.8 kilograms of methamphetamine through Sultan Syarif Kasim II Airport in Pekanbaru, Riau Province.
"We appreciate the personnel on duty at the Operations Control Agency (BKO) at the airport who have succeeded in thwarting the delivery of methamphetamine," said the Commander of Roesmin Nurjadin Air Base, Marsma TNI Mohammad Nurdin in his statement, Monday, October 9, which was confiscated by Antara.
He said officers were always asked to remain vigilant and increase supervision and take all measures according to procedures.
"We emphasize that there is no place for drugs in this country, there is no place for drugs through Sultan Syarif Kasim II Airport," said Danlanud.
According to personnel from the Roesmin Nurjadin Air Base Satpom who served in the cargo section, Mohammad Nurdin, the methamphetamine package was secured on suspicion of passing through the airport cargo X-ray device.
Furthermore, the package packaged in the cardboard box was again asked by officers to be re-examined.
"After being dismantled witnessed by a courier, it turned out that the cosmetic brand package contained methamphetamine," said Satpom personnel.

After being confirmed to be drug, Satpom personnel then reported Dansatpom Roesmin Nurjadin Air Base for further development.
"This methamphetamine was secured because we were ordered to continue to increase vigilance and be observant to see things that have the potential for violations both in terms of public space security and in terms of smuggling through cargo," said Mohammad.
