JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono said that school buildings in Jakarta need to be evaluated from the security aspect.
This is the aftermath of repeated cases of falling students from the 4th floor of the school building until they died.
Heru emphasized that the evaluation of this building needed to be carried out in addition to supervising student activities by his teachers. Heru has instructed the DKI Education Office to carry out the evaluation.
"Yesterday, when I gathered, I asked the evaluation education office, maybe it should be checked by school children, then we also need to evaluate the building," said Heru at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Monday, October 9.
The death of the 3rd grade student of SMP Negeri 132 Cengkareng due to falling from the 4th floor of the school building caused a commotion among local residents. Moreover, the incident that occurred on Monday, October 9, occurred in the morning.
The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cengkareng Police conducted an examination of a number of eyewitnesses related to the death of a student at SMP Negeri 132 who died with severe injuries to the head broken.
"We have asked for information from 3 witnesses. The CCTV footage is still being checked at the scene," said Cengkareng Police Chief, Police Commissioner Hasoloan Situmorang to reporters.

Meanwhile, from the results of external examinations from the results of the crime scene, officers from the West Jakarta Metro Police Identification Team did not find any signs of abuse on the victim's body.
"There is no external impact (a sign of the former abuse)," he said.
Police Commissioner Hasoloan explained that the incident occurred at SMP Negeri 132 Cengkareng. The victim's body was found by residents outside the back fence of the school building covered in blood at around 09.30 WIB.
"Still wearing a complete uniform because of the activities of teaching and learning activities. We are still exploring the actual incident whether we slipped or something else was still investigating," he said.
Meanwhile, the three witnesses examined were friends of the victim.
"Later, we will take information from the school. For student witnesses, later there will be assistance from their parents and the school," he said.
The victim was taken to Graha Kedoya Hospital for further processing.
