In The Aftermath Of Persecution Of Women To Death, PKB Deactivates Edward Tannur From Members Of The DPR

JAKARTA - The Central Board of the National Awakening Party (DPP PKB) officially deactivated Edward Tannur from a member of Commission IV of the DPR RI.

This step was taken by PKB so that Edward focused on solving his son, Gregorius Ronald, who was a suspect in the case of mistreatment of a woman named Dini Sera Afrianti.

"We from the PKB DPP have decided to deactivate Edward Tannur from all his duties in the commission," said PKB DPP Secretary General Hasanuddin Wahid in his statement, Monday, October 9.

Hasanuddin said Edward was sanctioned by withdrawing Edward's membership in Commission IV in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture. Today, PKB will submit a letter of revocation of its assignment at the commission.

The man who is familiarly called Cak Udin explained that Edward was disabled in order to focus on solving the problems faced by his son, Gregorius Ronald Tannur, who was suspected of molesting DSA to death in Surabaya.

"Because we are very concerned that something like that happened and our hearts are in the victims," he explained.

Cak Udin also emphasized that PKB would ask Edward to deal with the case that befell Ronald in accordance with the provisions of the law. He ensured that PKB would not intervene in Ronald's legal process.

"This is a form of our sanctions while we give him the opportunity for the problems that occur, so that he can immediately help as much as possible the problem can be resolved legally," he concluded.
