Spain Launches Recoverable Rocket For The First Time
JAKARTA - Payload Aerospace SL (PLD Space), a rocket developer from Spain, successfully launched the Miura 1 sub-orbital rocket. This recoverable rocket took off from the El Aresyillo Test Center at the National Aerospace Institute of Technology.
Miura 1 is planned to reach an altitude of 80 kilometers above the earth, but it failed. This rocket only reaches a height of 47 kilometers. Although far from the target, this rocket is considered to have worked well in the first trial so that the PLD Space celebrates it.
On his debut, citing Space, Miura 1 carried a payload from the German Center for Applied Space Technology and Micro Heavy Styles to study microgravity conditions during the flight.
Currently, PLD Space is just waiting for Miura 1 to fall into the Atlantic Ocean before being taken by boat in the area for further inspection and analysis.

For information, Miura 1 is the first rocket in Europe to be recoverable or recoverable. With a height of 12.5 meters and capable of carrying 100 kilograms of payload, PLD Space seeks to develop Miura 1 until it can then create Miura 5.
Miura 1 had an initial experiment on June 17, but it was canceled 0.2 seconds before takeoff. This cancellation occurred because one of the cables connecting the rocket to the launch tower did not break at the specified time.
