Serious Music, Dodit Mulyanto Releases Tau Diri As Opening Single On Next Album
JAKARTA - Dodit Mulyanto looks serious about his music project. Known widely as a comedian, the man who has a career as a music teacher has a plan to work on an album.
As a first step, Dodit Mulyanto released a single titled Tau Diri on Friday, October 6. This song is expected to be the opening single of his first album later.
Before deciding to compose the song Tau Diri, I actually had several songs, but it was collab with other musicians. Well, this song is purely me who sings. Want the song Tau Diri to be the opening single for the songs on my first album later," said Dodit Mulyanto in his statement, Friday, October 6.
Dodit is aware that questions will arise regarding his decision. However, all of that can be answered through his music background before working on a stand-up comedy.
"If you want to be pulled back, actually I'm not aji while. As I said, my musician's soul has existed for a long time. Especially before I became a comedian, I was a music extracurricular teacher at school. So, it wasn't the one who suddenly wanted to make a song. I'm really serious about preparing this, "said Dodit.
Not wanting to be half-hearted, Dodit stated that he would take the time to promote his new song. This was also done to introduce himself to the public as a musician.
"Later on, I want to have a tour for single Tau Diri, I want radio promos too, I want promos on social media too. I'm also still actively learning music and vocals," said Dodit.
Many great people are helping the process to develop into musicians. There is a vocal coach, there is a guitar mentor too. Hopefully with this attitude, people can also see how serious I want to be a musician," he continued.
