Build An Electric Car Ecosystem, Toyota's Real Evidence Of Toyota's Commitment To The EV Segment In Indonesia
JAKARTA - PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) continues to be committed to the country's EV segment, one of the concrete evidences, namely presenting an electric vehicle ecosystem, both Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV), and Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV).
The ecosystem includes an official workshop with global standards, but there is also a Toyota xEV Ecosystem built in the form of a charging spot facility in official outlets, including in several places that are easily accessible to users.
"Toyota xEV Ecosystem is present in the form of a charging spot facility for Toyota & Lexus electrification vehicles of the BEV and PHEV types for free at 50 Toyota outlets which will continue to grow over time," said Marketing Director of PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM), Anton Jimmi Suwandy, from an official statement received by VOI, Tuesday, October 3.
The man who is familiarly called Anton said that for the Toyota xEV, he will also be prepared in public areas, not to be left behind, in the Trans Java Toll Road area to increase the cruising capacity of electric cars.
Later, not only 50 dealers, Toyota plans to add this facility in 200 existing networks until the end of 2023. Where each outlet has 1 AC Charger unit with 22 kW power.
Meanwhile, for urban areas, Toyota xEV Ecosystem in selected public areas. As a pilot project, now the Privilege Charging Spot and Privilege Parking Spot facilities have been provided at ASHTA Mal, which is located in the SCBD exclusive area, South Jakarta.
Privilege Charging Spot is an xEV battery refill facility, exclusive for BEV and PHEV Toyota. Available 1 unit of 120 kW Ultra Fast Charger (with 3 types of CCS2-type gun charger, CHAdeMO & AC Type 2 (22 kW)) and 2 units of AC Charger Type 2 7 kW that can be used for free.
"Toyota is committed to providing Total Mobility Solution to electrified vehicle customers by building the Toyota xEV Ecosystem, and also in line with the vision of the Toyota Environmental Challenge 2050 and the Indonesian Government's Net Zero Emission 2060," said Marketing Director of PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM), Fumitaka Kawashima.
