Bukan Halangi Penyidikan, Febri Diansyah-Rasamala Klaim Bantu Kerja KPK Cegah Korupsi Di KementanJ
JAKARTA - Former spokesman for the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Febri Diansyah denied that he was obstructing the investigation of corruption cases at the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan). He claims that he actually helps the process of preventing corruption in the institution led by Syahrul Yasin Limpo.
This was conveyed by Febri after being questioned for seven hours by KPK investigators as a witness in a corruption case at the Ministry of Agriculture, Monday, October 2. He was examined with a former KPK employee who is now a lawyer, Rasamala Aritonang.
Initially, Febri explained that he and Rasamala had the power of the Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo to mitigate the risk of corruption.
The letter was indeed signed when the investigation process by the KPK was underway. Furthermore, Febri and Rasamala, who are members of the law firm, Visi Law, made a draft of their findings.
"Earlier, we were shown that there was a draft of legal opinion found by investigators at one of the locations that were searched. So it is more about clarification," Febri told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.
In the draft, Febri said there were nine recommendations on preventing corruption. His first point was how to strengthen internal system control and corruption prevention efforts at the Ministry of Agriculture," he said.
On another point, the recommendation asks the Ministry of Agriculture to follow up on the findings of the Financial Audit Agency (BPK) and BPKP. So, Febri assessed that what he did was actually helping the KPK's work instead of hindering it.
"What we are doing is part of supporting the work of the Corruption Eradication Commission, especially prevention. As an advocate, it is important for us to carry out our duties to examine the legal issues in detail," he said.
"So that it doesn't happen, if the substance of the substance is not strong enough, for example, there is a potential for bias in the process further," continued Febri.

Previously reported, the KPK scheduled an examination of Febri, Rasamala, and Donal Fariz as witnesses to the Ministry of Agriculture's corruption case. However, the last name was not present because it was not in the power of attorney signed by Syahrul Yasin Limpo.
As for this corruption case, it is suspected that there is a cluster handled by KPK investigators. The details are extortion related to positions, gratuities, and alleged money laundering (TPPU).
The KPK does not want to specify the suspect in this case. Even so, it was reported that the Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo, Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture Kasdi Subagyono, and Director of Agricultural Equipment of the Ministry of Agriculture Muhammad Hatta were dragged into this case.
