Attorney General Asks Staff To Play An Active Role In The 2024 Election Gakkumdu
Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin gave directions to all his staff regarding the role of the Indonesian Attorney General's Office in the 2024 simultaneous elections, one of which was the role of prosecutors as part of the integrated law enforcement center (gakkumdu).
"The Prosecutor's Office as part of the integrated law enforcement center (gakkumdu) also plays an active, collaborative and coordinative role in any handling of reports of complaints of general election crimes," said Burhanuddin in his direction as reported by ANTARA, Monday, October 2.
Buhanuddin asked all ranks of the Indonesian Attorney General's Office to guide the Attorney General's Instruction Number 6 of 2023 concerning Optimizing the Role of the Ri Prosecutor's Office in supporting and successful holding the 2024 simultaneous elections.
One thing that is emphasized is that all prosecutors work carefully to avoid potential black campaigns, which make the Prosecutor's Office a practical political tool.
The handling of cases is carried out carefully and carefully to avoid potential blank campaigns. The effort is intended so that the Prosecutor's Office is not used as a practical political tool in law enforcement.

Burhanuddin also hopes that all ranks can maintain neutrality by not taking sides or affiliated with political parties or any political interests.
Ending his directive, Burhanuddin reminded to be careful at every stage of law enforcement, because the community continues to monitor its implementation.
"Develop integrity, carry out law enforcement by avoiding transactional patterns to provide certainty and legal benefits that prioritize conscience," said Burhanuddin.
