After Being Examined By The KPK For 7 Hours, Febri Diansyah: There Are No Questions About Document Destruction!
JAKARTA - Former spokesman for the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Febri Diansyah said there was not a single question from investigators regarding the destruction of documents suspected of corruption at the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan).
This statement was made by Febri after being examined by investigators as a witness in a corruption case at the Ministry of Agriculture. He was examined for about six hours with the former anti-corruption commission employee who is now a lawyer, Rasama Aritonang.
"I said that there was not a single question or in-depth related to searches at the Ministry of Agriculture and the information submitted to the public at that time was related to the destruction of documents. Nothing at all," Febri told reporters at Ggdung Merah Putih KPK, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday, October 2.
Even so, Febri confirmed that he and Rasamala accompanied the Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo during the investigation process. At that time, his law firm, Visi Law had issued nine recommendations after mapping out corruption-prone points.
One of his recommendations is to strengthen internal supervisors by the inspectorate at the Ministry of Agriculture. "That is a draft of legal opinion that we compiled based on the information and facts we obtained and the statements we received and the analysis," he said.
Then, Febri also claimed that he asked Syahrul to fulfill the summons during the last investigation process. "And to those who interact with us, we remind them to speak and convey what it is," he said.
"So we are impossible and will not change the directions, let alone change the information, the principle we hold in carrying out our profession," continued Febri.

As for this corruption case, it is suspected that there is a cluster handled by anti-corruption commission investigators. The details are extortion related to positions, gratuities, and allegations of money laundering (TPPU).
The anti-corruption commission does not want to detail the suspects in this case. Even so, it was reported that the Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo, Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture Kasdi Subagyono, and Director of Agricultural Equipment of the Ministry of Agriculture Muhammad Hatta were dragged into this case.
