Fires On Mount Agung Controlled
The fire on the slopes of Mount Agung in Karangasem Regency, Bali, has begun to be resolved by manually extinguishing the joint team since the fire occurred on Wednesday (27/9).
But a new hotspot was still found on the slopes of Mount Agung, in the Dukuh Village area, Kubuh District.
"It's been controlled but there are still hotspots. There are new hotspots in the Dukuh Village area. Just in that area. Yes, just one appeared there. It's just that he's still far away, I went up there, it's still far away in the valley," said Secretary of the Karangasem Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Putu Eka Tirtana, Monday, October 2.

A number of hotspots on the slopes of Mount Agung have been completely extinguished. However, due to the strong winds, there was a new hotspot.
"It was all extinguished yesterday. (But) like this, because there is still wind, there are still those coals. Like yesterday, it was successfully extinguished, later tonight it appeared again. So we can't be sure. Like we left it, it was extinguished. Hopefully it keeps going, but the wind is blowing hard there," he explained.
BPBD said the fire on Mount Agung reached 400 hectares. The blackout on the slopes of Mount Agung is a joint officer using a manual method with makeshift tools.
