Rachmat Gobel Invites The Public To Prevent The Circulation Of Counterfeit Money
JAKARTA - Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Rachmat Gobel, invited the people of Gorontalo to participate in supervising and preventing the circulation of counterfeit money.
"I cooperate with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) to socialize efforts to monitor and prevent the circulation of counterfeit money," said Rachmat Gobel, in Gorontalo, quoted from Antara, Saturday, September 30.
Soon the election, he said, the potential for the circulation of counterfeit money is very likely to occur.
"Kon said, during the election there was a term known as the dawn attack, aka giving away shocked money. I hope the public can take preventive steps so as not to be trapped by social problems whose impact could be fatal due to receiving counterfeit money. Because the potential for the circulation of counterfeit money has the opportunity to occur at that time," he said again.
He hopes that the public will be observant and not be trapped by the actions of unscrupulous counterfeit money dealers.
"There are people we don't know, suddenly giving money in large quantities. This needs to be careful. Do not let the money distributed in fact be counterfeit money. We spend it, traders check, if fake money is found, of course it can get caught in a legal problem," he said again.
He reminded that dealers, recipients, and transactions using counterfeit money are certainly very dangerous and have legal problems.
"I hope that no one in this area is involved in being a dealer or transacting using counterfeit money," he also said.
